Short-Term Stay After Hospital Admission
Patients that have been admitted to a hospital for a minimum of three nights may have the option for a short-term stay in our center to receive 24-hour Nursing care and Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy up to seven-days each week. Patients may also request a short-term Respite in-patient stay for periods of a few days to several months.

In-Patient Residential Stay
Patients that require a permanent in-patient stay may be admitted from the Hospital, Assisted Living Facility or Home after receiving an admission order from their primary physician.

I also recommended the facility to a long time close friend that got great care like a family member also. Keep up the great care and service. The only reason it's not a five star rating is foodservice needs improving.

[review] => January, 2024... my second time here for hospital aftercare for Cellulitis and wound care. I have had to be in several healthcare facilities for Cellulitis in Las Vagas and Bradenton, FL. There is no better facility that I have been in that has treated my healthcare and healing needs better than Braden River Rehab. Not perfect... no place is due to a post-Covid shortage of healthcare personnel, but I am a healthy person due to their care.

[review] => ZERO stars! Do not send your family members here, use your due diligence and find another facility, they are not all the same, you have choices. Poor conditions, the rooms have holes in the wall, chipping paint, etc.. 1 bathroom shared by four patients (with disabilities) shower schedule from 11:00pm to 07:30 3x a week, (maybe) rehabilitation is non existent, patient care is bare minimal to “check boxes” only. My dad arrived able to stand and walk on his own (with a walker) he left 2 weeks later infected with Covid and unable to stand more less walk. This facility is the result of poor management and leadership, putting profit over patient care. Again, if you care for your loved ones, stay away from Braden River rehabilitation center.
Davion, you might want to spend time training at a legit rehabilitation center where patient care is the #1 priority, you might just learn a few things, because you definitely need it.

[review] => When my wife came to Braden River Rehab she was in very poor shape. It was mid August and she had been released from the hospital after having septus, pnenumonia, kidney problems, being on a ventolater, oxygen, feeding tube, etc. She could not walk, talk,swallow or communicate. With the help of a fantastic staff of professionals, OT, PT, Speech, and support staff she is only a little over a week from coming home instead of going to assisted living. We highly recommend Braden River. Everyone was great.

The food is so horrible, my already underweight mother-in-law on chemo, lost an additional 5 pounds because she didn’t want to eat their meals. The staff wouldn’t change her diapers before they left for the night and when my husband tried to get in touch with management about these issues, they wouldn’t give him the time of day. I hope somebody else reads this review and makes the right decision to NOT bring their loved one here. Braden River Care Center is no care center at all.

She was a fall risk and was left alone in the bathroom and fell- she had to call my uncle to call the front desk to get someone to help her. She was kicked by an aide. They also lied and said she wouldn’t eat the day she was taken to the hospital and that’s why her sugar got so low, but then we found out they had found her unresponsive in the morning and just left her like that for most of the day. She died a week later. I feel awful for anyone stuck in there and wish this place would just get shut down.

Then I found Brian Michalo, director of admissions at this facility. He was very helpful and understanding of our situation. With his help, we were able to quickly transfer her to a room here. I felt like a fish out of water. The team at Braden River taught me, guided me, and encouraged me to do my best. After a year in the Medical records department, I was afforded the opportunity to become a Unit Manager. Braden River is all about team work and growth. I can't say Thank You enough to the Administrator and Director of Nursing for seeing in me what I didn't see in myself. I have had such a wonder experience working for this company, and look further to continuing my education and my career here. Braden River has a wonderful team, and it's a Great place to work, whether its Nursing, Therapy, Dietary, or Housekeeping you'll always get the support you need. The head nurse was using intimidation as a means and actually said to me "it's your word against mine" when I expressed that my mother was oversedated and could not be aroused on a daily basis for over a month. I tasted the food and one day it was oversalted and one day it was too bland and hardly recognizable as to what it was supposed to be. My mother was left without blankets or a sheet on her on a daily basis when I came in saying they had to clean it but it was never replaced and my mother's extremities were blue and cold. The doctor in charge told me I have no rights (even though I was my mother's Legal guardian and Durable Health Care proxy and Power of Attorney). They took my mother's walker away so she could not get out of bed even though she was able to walk and wanted to get up. I will go on and on, but my mother ultimately gave up and eventually died due to the lack of care and neglect. Please again, consider somewhere else or be VERY involved with your loved one's care. Do NOT let anyone intimidate you if you have questions and ask to see the patient's chart - it is your legal right to inspect this.

[review] => My mother recovered and rehabbed here after a difficult illness. She had many issues that needed to be addressed. The team here coordinated care for those issues and worked together between all departments to give her the best chance possible to get back to her prior living arrangement. The administration, nursing, CNA, housekeeping and rehab staff were some of the kindest people I have ever encountered at this type of facility.The rehab team is innovative and thoughtful; focusing on the individual needs of a resident. My Wife was a patient for 5 weeks and got top notch care. The staff was caring and family like, way to many to name names. I also recommended the facility to a long time close friend that got great care like a family member also. Keep up the great care and service. The only reason it's not a five star rating is foodservice needs improving.
